The Problem

A recognised leader in the manufacturing sector approached FG Solicitors with an all-too-common problem; the lack of available, skilled talent to plug the skills gap across many disciplines such as Quality Engineers, Materials Planners and Logistics Managers.

The organisation had signed up for a major project that needed workers on the ground immediately.

The Solution

Amongst their current workforce, we managed to identify employees that were in the pipeline for sponsored roles, one of which was a Graduate visa holder with an imminent visa expiry. First stop – an application for an employer Sponsor Licence under the 10-working day expedited service was made.

Results

An application for the Group was made and the Sponsor Licence application was approved within 5 working days: clear and concise documentation to support the application was submitted with additional sites governed under one licence being applied for. This ensured the Group could effectively hire overseas talent across various UK cities.

Second stop; whilst the Sponsor Licence application was being prepared and considered, the team at FG Solicitors worked with employees (current and new) to prepare their evidence in readiness for submission to UKVI, once the licence had been approved and access to the Sponsor Management System granted. As soon as the Sponsor Licence was approved, the certificates of sponsorship for several employees were assigned the very same day, and their Skilled Worker visa applications submitted to UKVI via the e-Visa portal.

Client expectations were managed throughout and collaboration from both sides ensured a quick turnaround.
